Hi St. Peter's Family ~

Suitcase, backpack, waistpack, hat, sunglasses, Chinese Visa...check! I leave Atlanta at 4 PM on Wednesday...

I will hopefully blog on Friday with a report of the day's events.

Itinerary for the first few days:

Friday: Hutong area, residence of Song Qingling, old-style hutong home, local middle school

Saturday: Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Liulichang-shopping, opera

Sunday: Summer Palace, Great Wall (at Badaling), overnight train to Xi'an

I've packed an extra bag for silk, pearls, and caligraphy art. See you soon! :)
