Last Friday, "super second" graders donned togas and ivy crowns for their special Greek Festival, celebrating the end of their unit of study on Greece.
After several weeks of intensive study on Greek history, architecture, literature and art through Core Knowledge curriculum, students dressed the part and posed in front of their "Mount Olympus" mural.
After climbing Mount Olympus, they enjoyed a feast that gods and goddesses would enjoy, including olives, feta cheese, pita bread and other traditional Greek fare.
