The St. Peter's Garden is ready for harvest! The third grade students enjoyed creating a delicious salad with a variety of crisp lettuce from our garden. It really was amazing to have the opportunity for each student to pick lettuce straight from our very own garden! Our students are becoming more aware of how hard farmers work to bring organic produce to our tables. They are also seeing the value of caring for a garden that provides healthy foods to fuel our minds and bodies. Along with making a yummy salad, the third grade students also created healthy food self-portraits. Each student used a variety of fruits and vegetables to "build" their artwork.
