SPROUTS are working hard on St. Peter's campus!
Over 20 students gathered this week for their inaugural SPROUTS group meeting. Led by faculty representative Ms. Schlosser and student group president, fifth grader Sydney Tindall, the group is already very busy planning for a productive year!
At this first meeting, students helped create a scarecrow, "Rosie," aptly named for her St. Peter's uniform! Once secured and completed, Rosie will mark the site of the soon-to-be student garden.
The group also talked about appropriate items for recycling and decorated recycling boxes for each individual classroom. It was a very productive meeting! If you and/or your family are interested in helping with the garden or weekly recycling program, please contact Randi at rschlosser@stpeters.org or Jaime at jmelton@stpeters.org
My daughter came home so excited about the first meeting of St. Peter's Sprouts. As a parent I really appreciate St. Peter's focus on Going Green this year. It's a change of culture for a lot of people. Thanks for offering Greenlife and healthy food choices! I feel good about selecting items from the lunch menu now.
