St. Peter's Episcopal School "E"pistle October 9, 2009

Annual Fund Chairs Named
We are proud to announce our leadership for the 2009 - 2010 Annual Fund drive. Campaign chairs are Curt and Kim Coley, parents of Alex, in Ms. Mabry's Kindergarten and co-chairs Jamey and Sarah Steffner, parents of Julia, in Ms. Holly's Pre-K class.

Class chairs are being recruited now for this special fund. The Annual Fund drive is truly what makes the "St. Peter's difference." This unrestricted funding covers the costs that tuition alone doesn't cover AND 100% of your gift goes directly to support our school. Check here in the next few weeks for more information about the St. Peter's School "Annual FUNd" difference.
Food For Thought
This week's "Food for Thought" is health and exercise. Have you ever tried yoga or tai chi? The health benefits for these low-impact exercise forms is extraordinary. Fall is a great time to begin a new exercise plan while getting into your new back-to-school routine. Many exercise classes/programs are just beginning. Check out the October issue of "Natural Awakenings" magazine for more information about these forms of exercise and classes available. Additionally, turn to page 9 to see the article about St. Peter's School going healthy and green!

Tai Chi can make a significant improvement in your health including those with conditions such as: arthritis, emphysema, high blood pressure and more. Tai Chi has been shown to help reduce stress, anxiety and depression in addition to enhancing one's mood.
