St. Peter's Episcopal School "E"pistle
October 30, 2009-Have a safe, happy halloween!
Food For Thought
EDITOR'S NOTE: I don't typically write personal messages in the Epistle, but I have to make an exception this week. These past two days, Ms. Lanza and I attended Chattanooga's first ever Global Think Tank for Independent Schools, held on the GPS campus. We proudly announced our school's accomplishments and efforts thus far to "Go Healthy, Go Green." It was inspirational to hear from other independent schools across the country sharing ideas to help everyone provide a global, sustainable education for our students.
Energized and inspired, I'd like to share a comment from a fellow administrator that I beleive describes our role in global, sustainable initatives perfectly: "NObody can do everything, but everybody can do SOME thing" to improve our schools, our students' education and our environment. Thank you to our St. Peter's teachers, who instill this hope in our students each day.

ALL SAINTS SUNDAY: St. Peter’s Episcopal Church invites children to dress up as your favorite Saint or wear your Halloween costume to the 9am service on November 1st with Father Paden. After the service we’ll have lots of fall fun playing carnival-style games and enjoying goodies in the Bracewell Room. All are welcome.
**Also note that Tuesday's chapel will be a Eucharist service celebrating All Saints' Day. Parents are welcome to attend.
