St. Peter's Episcopal School "E"pistle December 11, 2009

The annual Christmas Choral Program and SPPAT meeting will be held this Monday, December 14, in the church. At 7:00 there will be a brief video presentation and SPPAT meeting, followed by choral presentations from grades 1-5. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!

*Children should arrive at 6:45 p.m. in Sunday dress clothes and go to the Bracewell Room (basement of the church).

Annual Fund Drive Underway!
Thanks to all of the parents who have participated generously in the Annual Fund to-date. Our current parent participation now stands at 57% and we're still counting!

News You Can Use
RABBI TEPPER VISIT: All parents and students are welcome to join the St. Peter's Girl Scout Daisy troop (Kindergarten and 1st grade girls) for a special message about Hanukkah. Rabbi Tepper will be visiting with the girls on Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the library to talk about Hannukah traditions and culture.

CHESS CLUB: Parent Corina Carroll will re-start weekly chess club after school in January. She, along with her dad, Ronnie Field and parent Jenny Dethero, will offer this opportunity to interested students every Thursday after school.

OUTREACH PROJECT: Don't forget to bring toys, books, etc. for the Northside Neighborhood House. All items must be received by this Wednesday, December 16 to be included in Santa's Workshop for needy families. Thanks for your support!

HATS OFF to all of the parents who contributed and/or helped decorate the cheerleaders' float in last Saturday's Starlight Parade. The Henry's "drove" the girls and everyone enjoyed a fun, cold night! HATS OFF also to Coach Karen (Evans) and parent Courtney Garland for their continued enthusiasm and hard work!

HATS OFF to all of the parents and friends who shopped (or worked at) our recent Around the World Book Fair, benefiting our school library. It was a huge success! HATS OFF also to event chairs Rana Hill, Wendy Ransom and Becca Spears.
