As many of you have seen, it's that time of year....Book Fair. If you haven't had a chance to stop by, hurry before it's too late. This year's theme, "Around the World", was so much fun to work with while expanding our "Go Healthy, Go Green" initiative. All of our original artwork was made by students using recycled materials. The flags were painted on the back of discarded worksheets; three- dimensional landmarks such as Stonehendge were made from old plastic containers. A huge thank-you goes out to the Kindergarten staff who made an incredible collage of the Statue of Liberty that's on display outside the library. Using recycled magazines and newspapers, the kids not only created a spectacular piece of art, but they made it an "I Spy" hidden picture puzzle as well. Many of our older students have been stumped trying to find all the pictures!
A huge thank-you goes out to the Book Fair committee for making this event run smoothly. Also, a huge thank-you goes out to all of you who have shopped. All the proceeds go back to our library and help support the fabulous program Mrs. Adkins has in place for all to enjoy!
