Last week, St. Peter's Church and School (St. Peter's Serving Others) hosted Les Petits Chanteurs Haitian choir for two energetic performances. These performers are all members of ther Holy Trinity Music School in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Chattanooga was their first stop on a national tour throughout the United States.
After their spirited daytime concert, many of the students got to play with the choirmembers, both on the soccer field and the basketball court.
A huge thanks to "St. Peter's Serving Others" committee members that provided overnight housing and/or hospitality to make our new friends feel welcome: Eddie Grant, Valerie Hendrix, Kim Hunt, Beth Janney, Dana Jones, Sherry Liner, Janet Martin and Sandy Poggi.
This event is just the beginning of our formal partnership with our newly assigned sister school in Haiti, St. Luc, Petite Riviere d'Artibonite. Look for more details about this partnership in coming weeks.
